I'm looking into getting the M11x r3, I know a few people have gotten theirs. I'm curious as to the performance on League of legends, not so much the fps but does it randomly stutter? Like when a fight breaks out, 5v5 or so i know the r1 would occasionally stutter or hang up for a second or so.... I had one but couldnt deal with that.

Even though the alienware m11x is really the only laptop i've ever owned that i actually liked.

If anyone plays and could get back to me on this i would love you.

Sorry if this thread breaks the laws. Theres no real dedicated thread yet for performance.

I have the r2 i get 50fps in 5v5 team fights and 60-90 lane-ing and 120 at spawn lol haha. Thats how un optimized the game is.

yea. those numbers are fine. The thing i'm worried about is stuttering in those big fights.

They recently patched the river model, and prolly some textures here and there so I got a decrease in FPS. Running the M11x R2 i5 with TS and OC, I get about 25-30fps 3+ champs in lane and in 5v5, before the river remodel I ran at 40+fps in 5v5 so, I'm kind of sad.

All the settings maxed. Although, no shadows and very low environment quality.

The R3 will prolly be able to handle the game much better though.

Everything maxed at native resolution, No Shadows.

Runs very smoothly, however the first time I ran it I had an issue with a few miliseconds of video lag (ie screen freezes) the first time an ability is used. This resolved itself by the 2nd game.

Using the 270.61 drivers, with the R3

thanks. I just ordered mine, got 150 off the base model since the 350 off didnt work, i'm not going to fret over an extra 100 mhz for 200$ more... 1gb of video memory is plenty.

Going to throw a c300 in it when it comes in.
