    Latest nvidia driver

    What is the latest Nvidia driver eh? I'm still using 258 series and lately just bought the Civilization V through Steam and can't play when forcing DX10/11 using 335m card. It just kept crashing and back to desktop.

    Direct X 9 seems fine but then I can't turn AA on and shadow, Tessellation cannot turn on to Medium or High.

    Any idea how to solve it?

    From what I have gathered The most reliable driver(not the newest) is the 260.99 I am not sure how compatible it is with Civ V though.

    I have that problem as well, goes to a black screen and then comes up with the program has crashed and windows is searching for a solution.

    That was on the latest tho, and I downgraded earlier to get GTAIV to work (Which it does :D) So ill report back after testing what drivers I'm on and seeing if it works.

    I have just tried CIV V with driver version 260.99 and it runs a treat.
    Have set the option to skip the intro movie as well now so its all fine.

    Is there a newer one then the 197.72 that allows you to switch between graphics cards?

    I have the R2 so it automatically switches for me.
    I dont know about the R1, sorry.

    So 260.99 can run CIV V on Direct X10/11 ?

    Running on DX9 sometime will get a bit lag after I clicked "Next turn"

    I OC'ed to 158 btw

    Browse the following directory: My Documents\My Games\ Sid Meier’s Civilization 5
    Find the file called “UserSettings.ini”.
    Once the file is open, find the “SkipIntroVideo” setting which is set to 0.
    Set “SkipIntroVideo” to 1 and the intro should not come up when you start the game anymore.


    Problem solved!

    Are you running 260.99 on a R1 or R2? If a R1 are you able to switch the graphics on it?

    The only ones that you will find that are newer than 197.72 for the r1 are community made and not official releases. I do not believe dell has plans to release updates. :(

    Can someone send me the 260.99 Driver for R1? NVIDIA has one on there sight but it does not show the 335M compatible. Can I use that one and be able to switch between graphics card?
