Hello, I recently had to replace my fan on my Alienware M11x r2. While doing that I accidentally tore the ribbon cable for the LED lighting in the keyboard. So now I'm in the dark.. :( Is there any way to replace just the cable for the LED? Or do I have to replace the whole keyboard? Or even better yet, is it possible to fix the tear? Thank you.

Fixing the tear - possible but not worth the effort really, would require some kick- equipment. not worth it
Getting a new ribbon cable - i think the other end is soldered to the keyboard, so i doubt it.
Buying new keyboard - YES pretty much the solution unless the above solution isn't valid.
