Hi All,
I have the m11xR2, i7, 8gb RAM. Windows 7 Home Premium.
Here's the problem:
In the middle of a game, sometimes 5 minutes in, sometimes 20 or even 30 minutes, the keyboard will become seemingly unresponsive and start to beep. Whenever I press W, A, S, D or other keys the m11x starts to make a beeping sound. I have to quit out of the game and then restart, but it will happen again and again.
I've been playing Batman Arkham Asylum and Half Life 2 and the Episodes and this has been occurring constantly. It does not seem to happen in the racing game Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit.
I keep thinking it is the Sticky Keys, or Filter Keys or something to do with the Ease of Access control panel; however, I have turned all of that off and on and off and on to the point that I am not sure what to turn on or off anymore.
Any suggestions or ideas where to look? What are your keyboard settings?
Thanks,
Alienowl

I think I may have figured something out. I have multiple languages running on my m11x and use the Language Bar to change between the different keyboard setups. The key combination for the change is CTRL + Space. Maybe when I hit that combination within a game the m11x tries to change languages and beeps?
Anyway, I have changed the combination to something that I could never really hit within a game. I loaded up Arkham Asylum and played for about 15 minutes and so far so good.
See what happens. -
Just a piece of advice to assure you've fixed your problem:
While playing the game try your new combination to change languages. -
Good thinking. I started up Arkham Asylum and tried the new key combination to change languages and, yes, I was able to reproduce the beeping and keyboard freeze. Within the game I can do the key combo and reproduce the beeps every time.
Finally, I can get rid of that problem and play the game.
Thanks!
