Ok so a quick review of this thing...First off, I had an m15x and I loved it, but it was overpowered for what I was doing with it (WoW, LOTRO, browsing, videos, some steam games, HL2, CSS etc) Anyway the thing is beast...it looks just like my M15x just so much smaller and PORTABLE! I loved my m15x but the thing (with case included, power adapters etc) weighed about 15 pounds after all was said and done. If you ever put it on your 'lap', it would crush you and it gets pretty hot on the bottom.

Ok back on track, at first my m11x was a little slower than I was used to with my i7 on my m15x, but then I found out it was in power save mode so I switched it to performance mode and wallah, fast as lightning. Having the ability to switch from integrated to discrete graphics is a plus and one of the reasons why I wanted an R1 instead of an R2, id much rather handle the switching. The touchpad is great, not laggy at all compared to my m15x. I havent tested any games on it yet but I will once I get a few installed. The screen is as good as I could ask for, is it amazing? No, but its good...it gets the job done and thats all I can ask for out of a 11 inch netbook. I'm going to be hooking it up to my alienware monitor anyway so its not a big deal.

Lastly, the PRICE! I paid 800 for this entire system SHIPPED, after tax, after Neoprene sleeve and WITH an alienware Tactx keyboard. Alienware seems to have fussed up the Outlet store adding Tactx keyboards to all the Alienware systems. It was clearly on my order, so I called today because it was missing and they are shipping one out to me ASAP. I couldnt have asked for a better deal. The specs are as follows:

    C2D 7300 *Overclocked*
    4gb ram
    500gb Sata HDD
    Bluetooth
    Stealth black
    2 years of Mcafee Antivirus
    Respawn CD

I got it for that low price because Dell was offering 20% off any system from their Outlet store. The "Previously Ordered new" systems are systems that people bought and sent it back without using it. They know this because if the EULA agreement is still intact then they know the person didnt use it. There is not a single scratch or fingerprint on the system, it is LITERALLY brand new.

Anyway those are my first impressions.

    $800 is pretty decent, congrats.

Good to hear they're sending out the keyboard. I know a couple people here have mentioned not receiving theirs.

Also good news it didn't come with any scratches. One person here got one that sounded like it was dropped a few times :p

First thing I'd do is uninstall McAfee and install MSE or Avast to get it flying :D

Lol yea, I usually uninstall Mcafee first thing and install AVAST but the person who ordered this must have ordered it with 2 years worth of service, so ill keep it for now. When I called customer service, the girl who helped me didnt give me ANY problems, it took 5 minutes total.

I got a r-2 with I-5 2 gb memory and 250,speed 7200 hard drive. It was a refurbished but looks brand new. Got it for 638. Used the 20% coupon and had 65 dollars taken of for the keyboard. I now see I should have pushed for keyboard but really don't need one. But bothers ne they gave me 65 for 100 dollar accessory

I must have really confused them. When I called and complained about not receiving my Tactx keyboard, they said that they would take care of it. Well I received it yesterday, but it was the regular keyboard on the M11x R2. Oh well, I'll keep it, may need it someday.
