Ok, Im excited as I just got done ordering my m11x. I have been looking at it for about 2 weeks now and finally pulled the trigger. I ended up getting a refurb since the quality seems to be pretty good based on users here who have used them. Plus this means Ill get it next wed as opposed to three weeks from now. Wish me luck on selling my HP DV2700T special edition tomorrow. Somone offered me 290$ for it. Considering the ac adapter is almost broken and the computer just seems to be on its last let. It looks great on hte outside though hehe. Cant wait till wednesday!

So thefirst thing to do is bot into the bios and overclock the cpu, then I will be downloading some new drivers for the gpu? I plan on playing COD:BO, starcraft 2, fable, and a few others. From reading here, re-install the os is a moot issue right?? its already pretty clean? Ive been building computers since the age of 8 and worked a 5 year stint for Geek Squad. I still have avvrss to there clean up utility so I think ill run that first. Anything else I should be doing? also when you order with 2gb of memory does it come 1gbx2 or on 2gb stick? Just wondering what I need to order to hit 4gb. Any other tipes would be great!

May I ask why you got a refurb'd R1 @ 599$ (I believe that's the cheapest last time I checked) when a brand new R1 is going for 549$ (after -50$ coupon)? I personally see no point in purchasing R1's from the outlet until the coupons return :p

Nonetheless, grats on your purchase :)

got it for 549$ same price. I wieghed getting a new one that would take 3 weeks to get, or a refurb which comes looking pretty brand new, same warranty etc, and I get it in 3 business days. For me it was a time issue as I will be going oversees in two weeks. I tried calling the outlet and getting them down to 499$ but they just would NOT budge.

Just extenuating circumstances, excited none the less. Im selling my laptop tomorrow which means I will be without one till wednesday which si gonna be rough for me. I run a photography business/graphics design as a freelancer and Im on the laptop atleast 2 hours aday. So its gonna be ROUGH, I cant imagine waiting 3 weeks. I do have my samsung fascinate (galaxy s) to hold me over until wednesday
