There should be a nVidia icon on the bottom right of the screen. If you mouse over it, it will tell you which mode you're in.

    Few more questions.

I downloaded the newest Synaptics driver from the Dell drivers page, but I still lack two finger scrolling in web pages.

I have the EVGA precision utility, it has an option that says start with windows. If I uncheck this does the GPU spec go back to stock every boot from what I set it too? (I underclocked it). Thanks.

Also whats the lowest the CPU can be underclocked, and can that be done on the fly while in Windows.

I'm amazed this guy last over 7 hours on discrete so far, and I haven't tweaked anything beyond power settings.

You need to download the drivers from the Synaptics website if you want two finger gestures.

Congrats on your new purchase. The max battery I can get on mine is 6:40 but even that's longer than I need.

I can't really answer any of those questions but why do you want to underclock the CPU more than it is?

I write novels as well as do a lot of homework, I want to do both untethered, Word and the internet don't take that much too power so for those tasks I want the integrated gpu and the cpu slow and taking less energy so I don't have to have a cord attached. Doesn't matter when I'm gaming, I leave it plugged in.

Yep fantastic little computer - you will also love the backlit keyboard. When travelling you have no idea how fantastic it is to see the keys on a plane.

Yep brilliant idea the M11x - I also tend to run mine on integrated 99% of the time your right there is no real need for the extra GPU performance for general word, excel etc work.

The only time I switch to the nvidia gpu is when I game - and I do some of that on battery but not a ton.

Otherwise, I use it as a netbook for websurfing and work.

It's the best of both worlds. That with the backlit keyboard, the beautiful screen, nice form factor - it's my favorite notebook I've ever owned. I've had some netbooks, some full size (15.1") laptops - this is my favorite.

    I had a Dell 1340, total junk.
