Before you flame me I already went through the Optimus Issues thread back and forth and I am still not sure if this is a optimus related issue.

First, when I try to run Dragon Age Origins, I get an error saying Physyxsomething.dll didnt load so the game cant run.

I went through the config noticing that the game is detecting the intel card only and I have no way of switching manualy (I know this because i read the other thread and not one single person gives a valid solution which leads me to believe its not very doable atm)

I decided to go to the nvidia website and use their scanner tool to download drivers automaticaly and it listed two drivers. one for my intel card, which makes no sense to me because it was telling me to download a newer nvidia driver for my integrated intel card

the other driver was for the Nvidia card but I am not sure whats going on here.. is there supposed to be 1 single all powerfull driver that helps me with this? Is this even optimus related?

Sadly yes, that was the first thing I did and it wasnt working, I ended up updating both video card drivers then running a program I use in my desktop called drivermax which keeps every driver in the laptop updated, including usb ports etc.. then I cleared allt he config in dragon age and rebooted and that seemed to fix it. Thanks for your help! :)

It has nothing to do with your laptop or ANYTHING you have installed. This is an EXTREMELY COMMON problem with DAO, it does not know where the .dll files are in your computer. Your program fixed it by simply telling DAO where the dll was, most people just copy the required .dlls to the windows directory to remedy it.

Just another note, the reason your config util didnt see the NVIDIA GPU is because it was not active using a 2D config program, but DAO runs on the NGPU without having to whitelist. In any case, im happy your got it sorted out.
