Got SU7300, 250 gig 7200 RPM drive, 4 GB Ram, 1 Yr warentee for 671.58.
Good deal?
Think it's a good idea vs paying 350 more for i7 version?
I'm looking for replacement for my iPad for some school/gaming. I'm thinking battery life > the boost in performance in this situation (plus extra 350 in my pocket)
Opinions? Tips for m11x rev1?

I paid 200.00 more for m R1. Wouldn't trade it.

I just ordered a refurb the other day also. Same set up as yours but I belive mine has a 320 GB Hard drive. Fed ex tracking says it will be here on Monday! I cant freaking wait to try it out. I did go ahead and buy a external DVD drive for it since I have like 20 games I would still like to play from time to time. I am also not looking foward to how many hours it will take to get all of my games downloaded from steam!!! LOL

if you bought it with 1 year warentee its not worth it...
see if they sell ones with 1 year warranty. -

I paid 850.00 for my new R1 from an ebay seller with a 1 yr warranty. Disregard the not a good deal with a one yr warranty. That's just ridiculous. These system refurbs are like new and the M11xR1 is an excellent computer. Frankly, if people don't have it and don't use it then they can't judge either it's performance or it's value. I would not trade up for the R2. In fact, I have a friend who has an M17X R2. I have an M17xR1 and really the i core is not all that unless you get the top of the line i core. My m17 plays as well as her's does. I would not trade either of my alienwares for the new model. I think it's a good deal.
This is what my M11xR1 (overclocked to 1.73) does for me. Plays Crysis, Crysis Warhead, Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2, Call of Duty 4:MW, COD:MW2, Portal, and a couple of older games very well or perfectly. In fact said friend wants an M11x too because she's seen how well mine performs. I can do any Photoshop (not elements) and also all Microsoft Office without problems. I'm an author. I am typing up 600 page novels on this computer without a glitch. I also create my own book covers, massive photoshop files. I was having major problems with my HP DV7. So it's your decision. I think you'll be very happy with it. I know I am. -
that's a good deal

Depends how long will last your hinge (but let's say 3 months it s quite expensive)
Just kidding ;-) -

Can't thank you enough . I kinda feel like I'm stealing something! Tho" your advice really helped (I ordered it today!), it was pretty much a true no-brainer . I would really appreciate feedback on the hinge o help me inspect it upon delivery and choose wtty.
Now that I will be a true owner I look forward to returning the favors. -
So I was recently told, Alienware will call you 30 days before your warranty runs out to sell you a new warranty. Yup, you will pay more but it is worth it and yes, they will fix any hinge problems that you have and send a tech to your house to replace it or to replace you machine. I think you are fairly safe with Alienware. I had a blu ray issue. I called them at 9pm and a tech was at my house the next day at 5pm. That's service. Dell also replaces with like or better.

im buying one for 760 /w:
-SU7300 @ 1.73 GHz OC
-Nvidia 1 Gb GT335m GPU
-4 Gb 1066 DDR3 Ram
-500 Gb 7200 RPM HDD
-1520 Wifi N Card
-Extra 250 Gb 7200 RPM HDD
Lightly used, what do you guys think? -
Us the extra hard drive external? If not, be sure to get an external enclosure for it. The warranty will transfer. I opted to put a 500 gig hard drive into my M11x and paid 60.00 more for it. So I'd say it is a pretty good deal, depending on how old it is and how much warranty is left on it.

kiwi...I got it, although I believe it went above everyone else's head. Bummer....I thought it was funny. -
Well, I think I am moving on to a better machine. With Mafia 2 having so many issues, it is enough proof that this M11x R2 will not cut it in the next 12 months for new titles.
I am moving to a PowerPro I 7:22:
