    Hey guys,
    I just bought BC2 on steam! :D
I was wondering what fps should I predict for playing on an external 1080p display? And should I make any optimization? What driver should I use?
    Thanks!

Dont expect much, I dont monitor what my fps is but, Med settings, it gets choppy really fast. Low settings is the only playable setting in my opinion. Iunno maybe use the latest drivers?

On my R2 I get about 30-40 at high settings with shaders at low. Plays wonderfully with the graphics.

You'll have to overclock if you want to reach those settings for sure. Most recent drivers should work.

Thanks! Do you have an Overclock program to recommend me or should I just do it in the BIOS?

I believe you can OC in BIOS. Also there's Throttlestop. I don't OC my m11x so idk 100%.

I have my r2 i5 m11x's gpu at 585mhz, and cpu oc around 2ghz running throttlestop and can play on medium settings and avg 25-40fps, never lower, and no noticeablle studder @ 1600X1080 on my external monitor, havent tried it at full 1080p tho, but im sure thered be no problem obtaining a playable setting. The biggest improvement i found to framerates was using the throttlestop app, as bc2 seems heavily cpu dependant. the gpu overclock didnt show as much improvement as it seems the cpu is the bottleneck here

Definitely the CPU. I had teh R1 and it would be between 10-25fps.

Try and follow the guide in my sig. You'll get the most from your M11X. I have no issues at all with BFBC2 with my overclocks. I play at mostly high, shadows to medium 8x AF no AA.

be sure to download: BES – Battle Encoder Shirase 1.4.2.

it lets you limit your punkbuster .exe file to ~10% of CPU, which keeps BC2 running at a decent clip, assuming you're playing the multiplayer stuff. what i would recommend is joining a game, waiting a few minutes, then alt+TAB'ing out, running the BES executable, limiting your punkbuster .exe file to 10%, then going back to BC2.

trust me, it works. punkbuster completely messes things up after a few minutes in-game.
