I just got a R1 M11x with the idea that it is not a gaming machine, but more of a portable media machine with great battery life and good power.

So far, no problems running at 1.6ghz (or whatever it is), but oh god the screen is just terribad.

I can deal with it under the GT335m because of Nvidia's color correction (massive gamma correction, mostly, some contrast, brightness and digital vibrance added).

However, this cuts battery life hugely as we all know.

The Intel display tool does not allow calibrations to the Gamma. Any 3rd party program I can use or is there a later driver revision that does?

Are you sure? I see it right there under Color Enhancement on mine.

You can only increase Gamma, which is the last thing you want to do on this screen.
