    Is there a hotkey for blanking the screen?

    Does anyone know if there are short cut keys to blank the screen other than setting a screensaver or power options? I want to blank the screen to conserve battery but be notified when I get e-mail.

    No, there's not. Strange omission too. I set all of my profiles to have closing the lid do nothing. That turns off the display and leaves the system running.
