Is the screen too small on the m11x r3, I want to play league and wow etc on it and does it get annoying and eye-straining after a while?

Even with my bad eye sight I am still comfortable gaming on the m11x. But I have to admit after long periods of time (3hours or so) the screen size does start to bother me lol.

No, it's all about how much of your view it takes up. If it's within a foot and a half in front of you then it's not much different than a larger screen 2+ feet away. Besides, you could always connect it to an external monitor if you really want a larger screen. Also, search next time, there's A LOT of people who ask the same question, so you'll get your answer sooner if you just search the forum instead of waiting for people to answer you.

Takes a bit of getting used to (having come from 15" laptops) but once your eyes get the hang of it, they're perfectly okay for gaming. And like the others have said, you can hook it up to an external monitor if you find it too small for your liking. Had the same dilemma before I bought mine, but the small screen is perfect for gaming/watching movies on the move.

I had the same concern, and after months of reading, I came to this conclusion:

If you want an Alienware that is portable and can easily be used on the move, the m11x is the ONLY option.

The screen size is something you'll get used to.

i dont think its too small. IMO its the smallest size i would game on but it doesn't hurt my eyes. 11-12" is a sweet spot if you ask me. small enough to be portable but big enough to see nice details.

IMO i think you get used to what ever size screen your looking at and forget the fact that your even looking at a screen after about 10sec of any immersible game, weather its 11" or 30".

i think the point were it can become a issue is when the rez is too large for the pixel count. but thats not the case here

Cool for mobile / casual use

Not cool for intesive use like 10 hours a day. You can do it sure ( i work on it at least 6h / day at school ) , but when i get home and see a 22" or something , i'm like WOUAHAHAHAHA

The screen is not that small , i can play for hours with it , but not as a primary computer imo. But as some guy said , you'll get use to it , whenever the size is ( at work , i use to work on a 15" dell , my L11x and a iMac 27' , first time is awesome , and when you're use to it , you don't even bother )
