The new Core i7s on this thing has perked my interest, but not if the screen is craptastic:

I don't see people mentioning the screen, so what's the word?

It's the same screen as the R1. It's adequate for gaming and typical surfing, work/school stuff if you're not very discerning and can manage to keep any sort of lighting off it. For photo editing or anything where you care about black levels or color accuracy it's not nearly up to snuff. For that you'll want to hook it up to a proper display.

I was thinking earlier today and yesterday, I Wish they could put on a 1600x900 led screen. The only reason being that I like using it with non game related things. On my laptop games still look great at lower then my native resolution which is 1600x1200, but while I'm using it for non game related stuff I like the larger scale. I know most people wont game at anything less then the native resolution of there laptop though and running the high of a resolution with the m11x would only bring down the little edge it has on games.
Personally Ill be looking for oled(organic light emitting diode) in laptops which shouldn't be to far off I hope, since I'm big into screens. When I got a cd player for my car it had to be the best with a screen on it, alpine! Besides 1366x768 is a broken resoultion. Im sure most people have seen oled videos but here was one I caught a few weeks back and thought it was cool here
Is the M11x R2 screen still horrible?
