    i don't see why not. there are people who overclock the cpu and run prime95 for a day or even longer to check the stability of their systems

    I keep my laptops running for 3-4 months non-stop, no issues so far.

    power/thermal cycling your computer (turning it on and off) actually puts more wear and tear on your computer than leaving it on.

    The heating and cooling causes expansion/contraction process, and can lead to warped parts/connections.
