ppl who goes for small SSD tend to have an extra HD slot to use a normal hard drive as 80GB is not enough to store applications and games.

You could get away with 60GB if you only have 3-4 games installed at once though. -
I have a 60gb SSD, and it's definitely pretty tight. I'd definitely recommend 128gb if you're not planning on doing active disk management.
On the plus side, it's astonishingly fast, and I'd need some serious convincing to go back to a mechanical disk. My plan is to wait a year or two for 192-256gb SSDs to drop down in price, and then I'll replace it with one of those; one of our desktops could always use the SSD as a system disk. -
Yes, 60GB is kind of small. It would be enough if all you're installing are office productivity apps. But if you plan on installing games, that space will get eaten up very quickly.
You really need 90GB or 120GB drive to really get some breathing room for an SSD that will contain OS + apps + games.

I still think the Price erformance ratio of SSDs isn't worth it at all for the average gamer, especially if your budget is limiting you to the < 160 GB range.
As Intel/Micron ramp up their production of 25nm SSDs and supply begins to surpass demand (which is just starting to happen and will be in full swing mid-2011) you'll finally start to see the price per GB of SSDs come down. -
I have a OCZ Vertex LE 50gb. has a great in performance but the space is too tight!
