Aight, so i was pulling hair out of my trying to figure out why my internet isn't working right, spent whole day installing reinstalling drivers etc. But after some time it keeps dropping connection not connecting to the router, now i was sure it was the bloody router not identifying, but since my phone and other laptop would connect no problem and no questions asked, IT IS THE DAMN INTEL CARD.
The problem comes when i figured that and i can't find a thing wrong with it, it just seems to work depending on its mood and only with some specific routers (TPLINK and linksys so far, Dlink works peachy.) Sometimes it doesn't work even with dlink after stopping to work with other one, but comes back to its senses at no reason whats so ever.
I rules out pretty much everything, its not heat, as it does it cold as well. Warming it up doesn't fix it either.
Not software as they are cleanly installed... Reinstalling them didn't help.
Not even sure why it happens or what fixes it either. It seems to be completely random, and it just keeps trying to connect, failing to identify - rinse repeat... I am at a loss, so maybe someone had similar issues with it and managed to fix it?

I fixed my wifi problems with the purchise of a nice wifi card. Get a intel 6200 or bigfoot 1102. That should fix you right up.

Had an Intel N1030 card.
It sucks. Without doubt the worst card I have ever used.
I have sinced purchased eBay - The UK's Online Marketplace
I'm pretty sure you can buy something similar - You running a M11x right? -
m11x R3 yes. I don't really need any super duper 0.1ms quicker card. Or one capable of 480mbps etc. - i don't see using anything that supports that kinds of speeds...
15bucks seem fairly fair for the 6200 card, how much are bigfoor ones? though might as well go for Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6205 Wi-Fi PCIe Mini Card | eBay
seems to be a paint to find any bigfoot cards - expensive on ebay as well. -
Whats the difference between the N6200 and the N6205?
-
its just a revision i think. plus full wireless N and not draft N. not sure though, it is just few pounds more tho.
-
Check the reviews... a fair number of 6200 series users have trouble. Me included. Bad enough I disabled it and went with ext usb for wifi.
-
oh bloody hell i never imagined getting a decent wifi card was this hard! ;/ would use one from my other lappy azurewave or something, but its a really poopy wifi N card only capable of 75mbps... but i suppose it atleast works without issues -_-
-
Ordered the 6205 with my R3, i'll test it out when i get it & let you know. I hope mine works fine, i specifically ordered it because i thought the 1000 might have been a little dodgy.

I love Bigfoot Killer wireless-N 1102! Downloading items and playing games online without affecting ping is a bliss
I bought it for $45 btw.
