Hey, while reinstalling all my drivers on my new SSD I came across the driver for the Intel Rapid Storage Technology. I remember it as an annoying popup with my last Hard drive but what does it do exactly and will it be useful in a SSD?

i think its just to boost the speed of mechanical drives ever so slightly as i don't see how firmware raid would help on an SSD...

i did hear USB flash drives were a great success in software RAID, but it is sort of like SSD in a sense...

Anyways, i doubt you'll see any boost from it, as the SSD controller does this automatically between the memory chips...
