    Intel 530 SSD stuck in IDE mode?

    I booted up and installed in ide mode not ahci mode but when I try to change the bois now to ahci it wont read and suggests a reinstall. Should I have installed initially on ahci or is there another way around this? I can't run the intel benchmark tools when it is in ide mode : (

    u need to set the bios to AHCI before installing your OS

    Yup, but if it has been done already you will need to reinstall the O.S
