First off, I have to take my hat off to this forum. This is a great place to come find out some quick tips and tricks to make these little machines do awesome things. There are a few things that made A HELL of a difference to me, a noob

Also, the last gaming PC i had was back in 2002 and i fell in love with BF1942. I even created a clan and we did some competitive clan matches and it was great. Distractions (ie Woman) got int he way of all that and now im back. All i gotta say is...these Alienware m11x's are incredible. I bought mine for 400 bucks, just a month old, from a coworker who needed some quick cash. This little portable thing is amazing, and the help from this forum is just a great...

Like the trick about Throttling Network on the registry worked wonders for 32 man servers on BFBC2.

So, with that. i was wondering how most people get their games. I got an account on Steam, where i bought my copy of BFBC2 (and The Orange Box and a few demos) and if anyone wants to be friends, look me up. My username is UltraNative311 and same on xfire. I sure hope these machines can run upcoming BF3!!

Have fun and take it easy

Welcome to the forum, it is definitely a great place to be. Most people here know more about Alienware products than Dell themselves, so if you have any problems/questions feel free to ask and im sure someone will be glad to help.

You got your M11X at a great price, i'm hoping to buy one soon after i sell some computer parts. It is such a great machine. For some reason the best thing i like about the M11X is the keyboard :)
