    I just received my R1 M11x and was wondering if my WI score is normal for a system with 8 gigs of ram

    I also added a XT 500 gig Hybrid drive and can't seem to be able to upgrade the firmware :rolleyes:

    I would never use WEI to grade my computer but here is mine:
    i5 with 4 gigs of ram, 260 gig 7200 rpm hdd, and on the intel graphics
    Processor: 5.5
    Memor: 5.5
    Graphics: 2.8
    Gaming graphics: 6.5
    Primary hard disk: 5.9

    Your scores look about right.

    Adding more RAM does *NOT* speed up your computer in any way. The only thing it does is prevent slowdown when you are using all available physical RAM and are forced to use the pagefile on your hard disk. So unless you were using all 4GB of RAM that was previously in your computer and using the pagefile, you won't notice any performance difference whatsoever with 8GB of RAM.
