    Hows the cpu usage on the i7's?

    Without any tweaks, optimizations, shutting anything off. Basically when you take the m11x out of the box and turn it on, whats the cpu usage on idle under windows?

    Mine sits at about 0-1% on idle.
    This is with Skype, pidgin, rainmeter, and all the alienware stuff(sans the webcam log in thingy).

    Mine sits mostly at 0%. I am using Microsoft Security Essentials. Its very light weight.

    Antivirus won't really hit your CPU, because most AV programs these days trigger whenever a file is read or written. So if your laptop is just sitting there, nothing will happen to it.

    As far as the CPU usage - the CPU usage is mostly dependent on the software load, and not the underlying hardware. An application load that uses 10% CPU at idle will use approximately 10% CPU, regardless of whether you are using a Core i7 or Core i5.
