My roommates watch a lot of TV in the main room (a 32 inch 720p, not the best but it works) and the TV in my room is about 15 years old, a ~27 inch SD TV not LCD or anything, and sometimes I'm forced to play my Xbox in my room. This might sound like "first world problems" lol, but it's incredibly annoying to play Xbox 360 games on especially FPS games because it's very hard to make out details like text and hard to see players across map at such low resolution.

I was wondering if there is any way to use my M11x R2 to input video from the Xbox 360 and play on the laptop screen (hopefully at 720p). I've heard it could work with a USB TV tuner, but I'm pretty sure you can only get those to input SD (usually RCA), also I don't want too much delay if possible, and I know video over USB probably isn't the fastest for this. I know the M11x is a gaming laptop, and I'm sure you're thinking "just play games on the laptop" but I actually still prefer playing most games on my Xbox 360. So any ideas on how to get video input to a laptop?

So basictly you asking for a VideoIN / hdmi in

Obviously there is no built in VIDEO IN on the Laptop. The only way i know would be to use a USB TV TUNER. If you find one , it might be more expenvise than buy a second hand LCD monitor or even a brand new one. Old LCD 19 inch 4/3 can go as low as 50$. You would need to buy a DVI to HDMI wire or adaptor as well!

I hope it help! good luck /cheer

Macs can do this, as of a gen or two ago. Windows based laptops, afaik, cannot. It's not a highly requested feature, so most OEMs don't implement it. For Apple it's a nifty "hey look what I can do" sort of thing.

I see 20" or larger widescreen LCD's go one sale for around $100 almost weekly now from Tigerdirect or similar sites. If you need this just get an external monitor, it'd look better anyway.

There are Alienware laptops with HDMI in, but I think is the m18x...

And yeah, a tv capture card would be the best option, but most of them use RCA cables, so no HD resolutions.....
