    I asked if they had a best price and they only offered ~30 USD off.
    Is this the best possible discount?

    roughly how much of a discount should i expect? the base price on the website for my core i5 config is 1732 SGD, i called and they gave me 1672 SGD

    My experience with this is that if you are using something like a 20% off coupon etc. they are far more limited in getting you a cheaper price, but they often throw in free shipping if that isn't already on the table.

    More often that not they can just supply you with discounts already available that you didn;t know about.

    I highly recommend following this advice, and if you don't get an answer you want from the first person feel free to call again.
