    Just got my 1st M11x, a Red:
    i7 2637M 1.7GHz (2.8GHz w/Turbo Boost, 4MB Cache)
8gb Ram (I put in myself because of the stupid prices from dell)
    GT 540m 2gb (672mhz stock)

I'm properly pleased with the little beast ;)

...and was interested how far people have overclocked this graphics card. Ive got the laptop on a cooling pad and so far have got a stable 750mhz playing SWTOR for over an hour at max 77degrees c (in a warm room) . Also at what stage might it be worth upping the voltage to it (assuming you can do that with msi afterburner...I've only ever oc'd desktops..this is my first lappy)

( Seems the 550m is just an overclocked 540m aswell http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-GeForce-GT-540M.41715.0.html.)

Gonna be a bit of an experiment :)

You can't adjust the voltage on an m11x, it won't let you. There is a bios mod that bumps you up .05 volts though, try that.

I didn' had the need to play with the 540m OC-ed, but for testing I did several loops of 3d Mark 2006 and 3d Mark 11. Clocks and scores in sig
PS> temps were up to 79-80 degrees celsius.

I've found with mine, with intense gaming for hours, 780mhz seems to be a sweet spot. Temps top out at 78c.

780mhz? I'm running 830mhz with temps maxing at 67c after 3 hours of gaming! (Left 4 Dead 2, Max settings)
