I am a new R1 owner. Today, when I connect my M11x with an external monitor through HDMI, the integrated card does not detect any display, however, it worked perfect with the Nvidia card.

So my question is that is the HDMI port only connected to the Nvidia card and not connected with the Intel graphic card?

    Anyone know?

The HDMI only works with the Nvidia gpu and not the intergrated in the M11x R1.

Wow that is bad news. Whenever my laptop is not traveling it is hooked up to a 22" via HDMI.

I supposed its not a really big deal since A/C power will always be available when it's hooked up...

Yeah, but its not that bad if you think about it. Where do you find big external display without the available AC plug? :)
