I use to have a little Icon next to the clock that would allow me to disable it...

and It would disable it automatically when I would plug my usb mouse but now thats gone... I tried looking into the AlienTouch thing but nothing works there... I get a screen with some weird alien letters...

I've had the same mouse for the past 598037243873 years

    whats wrong?

Hi Lanctot, it seems like the Touchpad driver got corrupted somehow and also the command center with it, it may have been a Windows Update or recent software change on your machine, here's how to solve it, first follow this article to uninstall the Alienware Command Center first do the uninstallation only, How to Uninstall and Reinstall Alien Command Center | Dell . Then uninstall the Synaptics Touchpad driver by removing it from the Control panel-Uninstall Programs- Synaptics. Once removed, go here Drivers and Downloads | Dell [United States] enter your service tag and look for the touchpad driver in the "input" tab. Download it and re-install it, after doing this, perform the last step on the first article to Reinstall the command center on your computer and it should be working fine again. If after performing this troubleshooting you still require assistance send us an e-mail to [email protected] and we will get back to you as soon as possible. #IWork4AW

I fixed it, at least the touch pad issue... I went on the Dell website and download the driver for Synaptic touchpad and it fixed the problem!
