I am trying to run my M11x through my receiver via HDMI to my Samsung Plasma TV via some sort of componet cables.(set up by magnolia 4 years ago.) I am only getting sound to the sound system and no image to the TV.
When I connect a monitor to the HDMI out of the receiver I get the Video from my computer.
When I switch from the HDMI in to my Component satellite TV I can view the satellite TV on the Plasma and the monitor.
My real question here is I am able to run HDMI in to the receiver and out to the TV on a different type on connection?

It relies on your reciever. It has to be able to convert a digital HDCP link (HDMI) over to an analog connection (component)... in other words, not possible without some illegality.

Thanks alot! The TV is about 20 feet from the receiver and all the cables run underground. I just wanted an actual answer before doing something stupid.

Yeah, I'm sorry to give you the answer :(

If done via HDMI-->HDMI, then it will work. If done from HDMI-->component, then it won't work (video and HD audio - normal audio will work).
