Can someone show me some good ways to cool the GPU down? My max temp was 93 when playing Medal of Honor and it started to lag alot, (goes hand in hand with an earlier post)

Set it back to stock speed and if you want to OC only increase in small steps and do an extended test to make sure you aren't going to overheat. If you need to push it further then you need to strip the M11x down to get the heatsink off and put on a thin layer of some decent thermal paste.

Replace the thermal paste (The ideal being MX-4) or if you have warranty get Dell to send you a replacement motherboard (gpu and processor are soldered to it)

Thermal paste sorted mine right out from 92 'C on GPU and 101 'C on CPU! down to mid 70's to 80's :)

i finally cooled it down by lifting the back en of the laptop with a summer reading book (best use of it so far) so i pretty much have a make shift stand , now im not getting over 60 C when playing.

This happened to me a few months ago. It is either a faulty fan or faulty graphics card. You need to get dell to replace the fan or the whole motherboard.

When it happened to me the temp would hit the mid 90's and then the machine would slow way down. This is because at this temp the cpu halves its output to stop any damage being done. I tried to force the cpu to stay at 100% with throttlestop but it reached 105 and crashed.

Ring dell and they will tell you to use gpuz and coretemp to find out the temps, then they will guide you through some diagnostics tests and possibly (they did it for me) an update of the bios. When that doesnt work they will have a tech guy come out and replace either the fan or the motherboard (they did the fan for me but it didnt work so they came out again and did the whole motherboard). The guy came out the day after i called and was very quick and professional (and free) so its not too much of a hassle.

    Hope my ramblings will help.

Information out of date. The ideal is Diamond IC.

Those temps are crazy. I've had my R2 almost a year and it never goes over 80C while gaming and OC'd.

1½ years of M11xR1 ownership and I may have seen 65C on the GPU once or twice. AND I've lost the rubber feet on my M11xR1 so it's now sitting lower, still seems OK though.

Have to keep one of my old car tires and cut out some new feet from it.
Pimp your M11xR1 with jacked up car tire feet. Anybody got a fluffy dice spare?

If you´re under warranty get a MOBO replacement

set your setting to factory or default under NVIDIA control panel and Sytem BIOS (press F9) just to see if it gets ok
if not try getting a cooling pad first and if not then go for the diamond IC thermal paste...

    keep us posted

Nothing if you like disco balls, bell-bottom pants, tie die shirts, 80's music.....
The other suggestions in this thread perform just as good, if not better, don't require some sort of satanic ritual to prep surfaces and then apply the paste, and don't require industrial cleaner to remove.....and aren't capacitive either.

If/when I repaste my laptop, I'm going to use AS2 because I still have some that I never used. To clean AS off, I wiped it with a cloth and then cleaned the cpu with rubbing alcohol. How is that so bad? Industrial cleaner?

Did I say I love it? I know that it is inferior to IC Diamond or the newer Arctic Silver products, but I will use it if I need to because it's what I already have. I am wondering why you said it's such a pain to use and remove...when all you need is a cloth and rubbing alcohol.

I'll agree that IC Diamond gets slightly better temps, but you made it sounds like there was some big flaw with AS.
