The other day I turned my laptop on I randomly got a pop up from a program "FA tray" or something like that telling me I need to reboot to install some new updates I apparently had (Never even downloaded any and the program doesn't have auto update that I know of). So I restarted the computer and it popped up again saying the same thing. I restarted around 5 times with the same result. So just removed the program. Now I can't switch between my graphics cards ( the little icon with the two green stripes is gone aswell). Every other of the function shortcuts work. Im stuck on my intel GMA and I can't find anywhere to download the FA tray". And before you say it I have re-installed all the drivers relating to it from the provided CD that came with the M11x. I have no Idea what to do and I wanna play some games  Thanks in advance :D

Do you have an R1 or R2?

    If you have an R1,
    go here:

    DELL DRIVER DOWNLOADS

enter your service tag and look for the display drivers in the selection
    it should say 197.12

let me know if that helps. The FA tray is only for Facial recognition. If you dont need it, its better to disable it from the Command Center.

Hmm nothing there helps I have the CD with all those drivers on it. I booted off the nVidiea graphics via the BIOS and it's working fine, I just can't seem to switch between the two in the OS.

uninstall the nvidia driver, all nvidia software to be safe from the control panel
reboot ..window will try to install the driver
uninstall them from device manager..delete them
    reboot..
now the driver u download from Dell
or u can fuse the Nvidia driver 197.16 using the siggy method below.

    good luck

Anyone else seeing anything like this? Can you go to your Windows Update history and take a snapshot of what the last 5-10 things that got installed were? Hope that something isn't getting pushed down that causes this problem, although if that was the case we'd be seeing a ton of problems reported here I would think.

    Thanks.
