    has anyone gotten the r3 gpu in the r1?

    The GPU is soldered onto the motherboard so no, you can't actually upgrade it.

    Yeah, as with most laptops, the GPU and CPU is soldered onto the motherboard. You can change the ram and HDD but thats about it.
