So I decided to purchase the game today without running the trial to see if it would actually play on my m11x, but instead I had faith and didnt run the trial. I'm now regretting this decision as I have everything on low in this game even in windowed mode and I'm hitting a solid 10 FPS. Absolutely the worse fps I've ever had on any computer and I'm pretty sure this isn't normal. Can anybody help me out if this has been covered before because I can't seem to find any info anywhere about how to reach playable settings for this game.

You know what the first thing to check is if you are running on the NVIDIA or integrated GPU?
That would definitely fit the symptom. -
-
Windowed mode wouldnt improve preformance I believe...if anything it will hamper it.
When you say that you checked if its running on the dedi GPU do you have log of it? Or are you just whitelisted? There has been issues of whitelisted games still not utilize the correct GPU. I would get a hardware monitor to be certain that your running on the right card.
Also what are your power settings (High performance, Balanced) and are you running on the battery or A/C? -
It's a great game though! Have faith, as there might be a logical reason for it not running well! -
Turbo boost is infact enabled, should I disable it? -
Do other games play fine? (wondering if specific to this game or a general issue)
-
And as mentioned, disable Windowed Mode and disable VSync. It is an Unreal Engine 3 game. Games running on the UE3 platform should get no less than around 30fps at max settings. It definitely sounds like the nVidia GPU isn't being used. -
You still haven't mentioned which driver you're using or have tried. -
I had some trouble playing the demo on factory spec (high performance)
Haven't got around to driver swaps or troubleshooting though. -
-
I am running 258 and its running fine for me. I had to go and whitelist it though. Have you given that a shot even though it says that it is running?

I currently run cs 1.6 properly on this driver ( http://forum.notebookreview.com/alienware-m11x/508604-nvidia-optimus-drivers-189-79-r2-only.html)
But I cannot run global agenda at all (Won't even start up)
With this driver ( http://forum.notebookreview.com/ali...er-258-96-beta-discussion-relating-11xr2.html)
Global agenda plays but really slow, and cs 1.6 also runs pretty slow. -
I dont see why global agenda wouldnt run decent on the m11x, it is a fairly basic shot em up mmorpg. Hope you get it workin to the way you want it though.

I think the demo runs within steam so I put steam on my whitelist. It's not great but it'll do.
-
I'll try that driver when I get home, thanks for the info.
ALSO incase I didn't make it clear I am infact running GA through steam (Can you even run it without steam?)
One issue I am having though I can't whitelist it(under just GA), I'm sure it would fall under a steam game but that didn't seem to fix my problem at all. -
Just to up this, the newest Nvidia driver 259.xx does not even let me launch the game at all >< Ugh I wish I knew how to code drivers I would fix it myself!

Me thinks you aren't whitelisting the proper exe. With steam, whitelisting becomes somewhat complicated because most games use similar executables. Merely whitelisting steam wont get your games to run properly off the 335M. If anything all that will do is enable your 335M to run when steam is running possibly even when it is minimized in the system tray?
What EXE specifically are you creating a profile for?
while I have never played that game, the path should be something like "program files\steam\steamapps\common\global agenda live\binaries\globalagenda.exe" <---this should also be in your whitelist profile.
EDIT: Also, I believe that when you do a proper video drivers update (i.e. uninstalling, booting to safemode, sweeping files with cleaner) it resets your whitelisting/profiles. I may be mistaken but I thought I needed to go through and add some of the profiles back in after the 258.xx and 259.xx updates.
GL and keep us posted,

Yeah, I just added the actual .exe to the whitelist and it's a completely different game. This is my path:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\global agenda live\Binaries\GlobalAgenda.exe -
THANK YOU NBR!<3 -
I just bought this game via steam yesterday too. added manually to the whitelist and work perfectly fine. running pretty good. got everything running at high with 16x aniso and 4x fsaa. only thing i left low was the shadow i believe at native 1366x768 running pretty smooth. i did not frap it as it was late for me but at the smoothness i felt its should be running on an avg of 30-40fps. as usual no overclock of CPU or GPU. running at stock clock with drivers 189.88
