    Generic UMTS not supported for Dell 5620 on Alienware M11xR3

    Hi,

    I have Dell 5620 WWAN card in my Alienware M11xR3. My Dell 5620 is unlocked and can be used with different networks. However I have noticed that latest driver and application provided for Dell 5620, only provides support for Vodafone or Verizone or AT&T. If I look in the drivers section of M11xR2 for Dell 5620 there is support for Generic UMTS. So the same card Dell 5620 can be used with Generic UMTS for other networks but this option is not provided by M11xR3 drivers or application.

    I tried installing drivers and application for Dell 5620 for M11xR2 on M11xR3 but it gives model mismatch error.

    Can somebody at dell provide driver and application of Dell 5620 for M11xR3 which supports Generic UMTS?

    I have futher found that problem is probably with Dell Mobile Broadband Utility (DMBU) for DW5620. DMBU is not providing support for Generic UMTS. The support for Generic UMTS is provided by Dell Mobile Broadband Utility for other Dell notebooks ofr same broadband card below.

    My Question if Dell can provide support for Generic UMTS for other notebook then why there is not support for it for M11Xr3?

    Also I baught my card separately from my notebook and it is not locked to vodafone or any other carrie. But how can i use this DMBU with other carriers?

    If Generic UMTS is supported on Dell lattitude E6400 for Dell 5620 card then why it is not supported for Alienware M11xR3 for Dell 5620 card?

    When I try to install Application from Dell E6400 drivers to Alienware M11xR3 it says UNABLE TO VALIDATE MODEL of notebook.

    I there anyway by which I can forcefully install E6400 DMBU on M11xR3? or any other Connection Manager that I can use to do Generic UMTS?
