    Guys,

A new driver has been released today for the new 6XX series.

At the moment this is the only card supported.

I've downloaded the driver and used a "modded" inf from laptopvideo2go.

    So far so good.

The PowerMizer settings are back but for some reason, every time I select "Optimize my battery life" option, it goes back to "Not manage my power consumption".

Don't know if it is related to the Windows Power Settings.

Vertical Sync now has two new settings: Adaptive and Adaptive (half refresh rate).

I played a bit with the Adaptative ON and it works great. No input lag and no screen tearing.

The games were SSFIV:AE, Space Marine, DE:HR and CoD: MW3.

Mind you that the games were set to V-SYNC OFF ingame.

    Cheers.

If the 6xx card is the only one supported, why are you using it on your 5xx

I concur with Hiarieshi, what is the benefit to going through all that trouble for the same performance you got with the 295 series?

I second that notion, but I am going to test it anyway. Life isn't without its risks and I am bored.

edit: Just played a 64 player match in karkand (BF3) and found the frames to be a lot smoother and more consistant. FXAA option on, Vsync enabled (adaptive - half). Hovered at 35 in the open. 50 in a confined space. Custom settings (AA off)

its actually very simple. takes literally 5 minutes to test.

and if theres problems, roll back to the previous driver. easy.

Do you think that thoses enhancement ( that work even with other cards thab 6XX series ) will be available for the oldest card , or will we be stuck at 29X.XXX ?
