One of the reasons I'm looking at the m11x is the portability, but also hopefully the plug-ability. I'd like to be able to easily use it on the couch by itself and then also plug into the TV and play something on the big screen.

How convenient would that be? I guess I could use the HDMI out and headphones, but does it have a good sound output too? Can it pump up to 1080p and still look better than, say, and xBox? There is no way to do this wirelessly, is there?

I have a 65" 1080p DLP, I was surprised how easy it was to hook this up. Using HDMI your both video and audio work... no need for headphone out. As i recall m11x supports 5.1 surround with HDMI. I play cs source and Dawn of War 2 just fine on the big screen. If you ordered your m11x with bluetooth then you can use wireless keyboard and mouse.

i also have a m15x, i hated having to hook that up to the tv, hdmi didnt output sound, i had to reboot just to recongnize the connection, and it didnt work on integrated. So when i got my M11x i was suprised that everything just works.

Reckless - If you check the m11x gaming thread, i posted about COD MW2 on my Sony Bravia LCD. (recap) I could play both at 720p (1280x720) scaled by nvidia scaling or at 1080p lcd native. Let me just say that MW2 at 1080 on all details maximum looks outstanding! No need for AA or AF. I was able to get over 40fps. Other games may be more taxing and you have to play at 720p (Battlefield BC2). Either way the m11x really is a great PORTABLE gaming system.

    Best Wishes,

    StevenX

Yet still no optical drive, or i series processor. I'd consider buying one if it came with those.

Used a HD-Ready Sony 40" LCD via HDMI to play an old game and it was fine.
As I remember the adapter picked up the fact it was a SONY TV, however that may have more to do with HDMI than the M11x or TV.

Also I've used the M11x with Dell U2410 IPS 1920x1200px monitors via the DisplayPort which also worked will. The DisplayPort provides audio output via the monitor.

My old Panzer Phase I/II game doesn't scale up to 1080p so haven't checked that.

Haven't had a chance to check what Crysis thinks of the Sony TV on HDMI or U2410 via DisplayPort on M11x but there is no reason to think it wont work/look great.

My Desktop is only a P4 3.2Ghz HT processor with a 512MB AGP GPU and it's pushing out Crysis at 1080p on medium so no problem for a M11x.

Maybe at a higher res in Crysis, I can catch one of those pesky frogs if I can see it better in the grass. Mind you I killed one of the shore birds by throwing a stick at it, so maybe I'm not fit to play such a game. :D
