After using my m11x to game on my 40" HDTV I have come to the conclusion that I need to purchase a Gamepad and Gaming mouse so as to not use the kb at all. Any suggestions on what Gamepad and Mouse I should buy for playing FPS using a claw grip?

My own personal setup is a Logitech F310 (cheap and it's a clone of an Xbox 360 pad) with a corded TrackMan Wheel. I fell on some ice last January and my wrists hated me for it. Most people hate trackballs though. MadCatz Cyborg RAT series of mice have claw grips, but I'm unfamiliar with how they perform.

For the gamepad, get the Microsoft Wireless Xbox 360 Controller for Windows. It's probably the best gamepad available for Windows machines. Costs $37 shipped for white, and $48 shipped for Black from Amazon.com. The packages come with both the wireless controller + wireless receiver.

As for the mouse with claw grip - a lot of users have been pretty happy with the Razer Orochi. But be warned, that the Orochi mouse only operates in full performance mode while wired, not in wireless mode (Bluetooth). Personally, I would recommend the Logitech G9x for a high performance claw-grip mouse.

I'm using a Microsoft XBOX 360 controller with a Rat 7 mouse . The Rat7 doesn't like Black Mouse pads for some reason. Just picked up a Razor Ironclad pad ftw .

when i said game pad i meant something i use along with the mouse, ie gamepad would be used to move/switch weapons/open doors, while using the mouse to look/aim/shoot. Wouldn't using a 360 controller be difficult to use alongside a mouse?

If you are looking for something to use WITH your mouse, then just get a keyboard. You can get a wireless keyboard, if you're going to be using it from a distance.

There are some keypads specifically designed for the left hand, which gives you access to keys like WASD + other buttons like the Belkin N52TE. But to be honest, I think you'd be much better off with just a regular wireless keyboard. A keyboard has much more versatility, because you can actually use it as a regular keyboard. Plus, you do not get dependent on some kind of custom controller, where you are unable to use regular mouse +keyboard configurations because you are too used to your special left-hand controller.
