Hey guys thanks for checking out. I currently own a m11x r1 and sad to say

that the overall stable clock rate is only at 550/1310/840. I've already used

DavyGT's flash mod for higher voltage.(prop and thanks to him) Is there any

way for me to increase my clock? Also another question do gpus perform

better when they are in 0's as in for example 500/1400/890 or does it perform

better in 507/1315/848? Thanks a lot for answering this. :p

    Try thermal paste mod.
    Try heatsink mod.
Try a different overclocking program (some say one is better and vice-versa.)

And a GPU will always preform better at a higher clock speed as long as the clock speeds are stable.

Thanks a lot MasivB. +1 Rep.

Another Q, I've run some benchmarks to see if thermal paste will help with more overclock. But the gpu temp only reaches 58C at max. Will thermal help?

You may see around 3-5C lower temps at load. Whether it's worth the trouble or not is up to you. I did it and it had little to no effect on overclocking.

Thanks Hermit, I've found a stable overclock right now at 555/1318/853. Ran Crysis for 3 hrs without crash or artifacts. Strange how it froze at lower clocks before. Oh well I'm not complaining, maybe the current number combinations work better than the previous 1 I had. Thanks anyway +1 4 u

The main thing to watch is the shaders. Try dropping the shaders down to ~1200 and you'll probably get higher on the core, which is more beneficial anyway.

What do you mean by beneficial? Just from observation, the memory clock appears to have almost the only effect on fps in games, with a little coming from core and shader (I have them grouped together).

If you aren't seeing huge gains in FPS with a 135 mhz core OC, something is wrong. With 550/1320/850 I got a 10+ fps boost over stock on the Crysis bench, medium settings.

Reminds me when I did a insane unstable clock. What I suggest, is find the nVidia 330M clocks, and set your 335M clocks to the 330M clocks. It's a must do if you're not worried about voiding the warranty and a 1 second shorter life span :)

Onions I checked out the 330m clock to be 575/1265/1066. U sure this is safe bro? LOL

730/948/1606 - mine for 330m. 948 is max I have. Many people set memory at max if it is safe

Thank you all for helping me out. I've +1 everybody that has left me with good tips and tricks.

I've set the memory clock to max but the driver just crashes whenever it starts up. Guess that means I gotta turn it down.

Well THAT must be a problem. My max is 948 Mhz not some Jame per second. :p

    What program do you use?
There is a little chance that you other parameters were not high or low enough or not balanced well.If you increase processor clocks on 10% then shader must be increased on the same 10% (but maybe you already know this :D)

    lol gg james.

I use Evga Precision and yes I realise what you mean about the 3 clock speeds having a balance. When I first started overclocking the gpu I would find that I would get more performance gains when they were evenly distributed instead of spread all across. Is there a proper ratio to this James? Please let me know.

Also, since you are from Ukraine, do you like the S.T.A.L.K.E.R series? :D

a different overclocking program is going to make ZERO difference. try different drivers, and you need to test properly to insure your not getting artifacts... iv been overclocking gpu's for years. increase your clocks by 5-10 mhz, then use OCCT to test your clocks... if theres no artifacts or errors, then increase another 5-10 mhz. keep going on with the process til you DO get artifacts, then back down 5-7 mhz, and that will likely be your absolute max stable clocks. i this is the stuff i do for a living.. there isnt any better way of testing. hope this helps.

Ajslay, thanks a lot man. +1 for u.

On the subject of artifacts during OC. Some games such as dead space 2, stalker COP, and BFBC2 run great with no artifacts or crashes. While other games such as Metro 2033 and Company of heroes will experience a driver crash after 1-2hrs of gaming. By following your method of OCCT. Can I find a number that will work for all games?

For some reason OCCT doesnt seem to detect instable overclocks for me (yes I am running it on the 335 card and it hasnt crashed to lower clocks). On OCCT I am stable on 610/1464/950 and ofc that crashes 2 mins into BC2.

I remember why you are saying this ;) (click on the second eye of blue guy)

Yeah, I still like it :p However I did not finish the last one. My hard drive failed and I was not able to restore all partitions. only some files using powerful modded recovery software and many files still were not recovered well :( When I chose what to save I completely forgot about any game saves so I lost about hundred of gaming on only one S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Repeat all that is completely waste of time for me :(

I recommended this to ajslay once and I recommend it to you. Even if Nvidia Tools will not make OC more stable still it will make it comfortable (in case EVGA doesn't offer this). You will be able to boot every time with clocks you want, create profiles with clocks, create rules of choosing different profiles etc.

PS About stalker again... it is MUCH better than Metro IMO.

I cant say that I agree with you about diffrent overclocking programs not acting diffrent. Normaly with my M15x I will use evga and it works best but when using it on my m11x R3 yeah not so much. With MSI I scored 10065 3dmarks and with EVGA I scored 9964 3dmarks with the same settings. To the OP try using a diffrent way to over clock your card and see if it is more stable with one program versus the other like it was for me.

I feel like the first stalker was the best in terms of story and atmosphere. The third one was really good gameplay and choice making. The second 1 was just too rushed.

I can't wait for metro last light, hopefully its not as linear as metro 2033.

thanks for the +rep. and if occt isnt working use ati tool. and different overclocking programs arnt gonna help. maybe one is more resource heavy then the other but they all overclock the same way. most of them have rivatuner integrated in some way. also without me you wouldnt have the Vmod. i was the tester. trying different drivers is always a way to get a few more mhz, some drivers are better then others.
