Sorry if this has been brought up before, however i cant seem to find an answer.

    I have a regular M11x not an R1,2,or3.

Everytime windows pushes updates I have to reinstall the Nvidia software. Well this time I updated it to the 285.XX. For some reason now when i try to open the Nvidia program I get an error saying that my GPU is not found. Also everything on my desktop is ungodly big. Sorry if i sound stupid but i need some help. Anyone have any recommendations?

    reinstall the driver>custom install>clean installation.

Change your resolution by right clicking your desktop to change the godly proportioned screen

    what's a regular M11x? I thought R1 is the first version of the M11x.

A "regular m11x" is a r1... unless he has a old sentia, those were about the size of a m11x.

Did you set the gpu in your bios to discrete? If not do that, this will turn the 335 gpu on. Otherwise the computer is booting into a stange limbo of intel gpu and nvidia gpu with no drivers that match the system.

Alternatly you can install the correct drivers for the computer found on dells web site.

Sorry i was mistaken it is the R1. I have tried uninatalling both the nvidia and intel graphocs software. Reinstalled both of them still no luck. When i go into device manager they both have little yellow ! Signs on them and in the notes it gives an error code of 31 and thats on both the nvidia and intel software. I havent tried to run tje Nvidia thru BIOS. To be honest Im not even really sure what BIOS is or how to open it. Theres a user on her by the name The_Moo who jas been assisting me thru another forum. Just too tired to keep working on it tonight.

Sent using Chuck Norris' left boot

Turn on computer, pushing f2 the whole time.
Now you are in the bios. Find the graphics options, it should have disecrete in there. Turn that on.
exit and save. Now you can install your drivers.
