I was just wondering what is the best program to use for testing GPU stability after an overclock? For my desktop PC I'm used to using Furmark, however when I tried to use it on the M11x it's only detecting/showing the intel integrated GPU and not the 335M. Is there a fix for this or another program I could use?

It works for me, are you sure that you have the gt335m enabled?

Or do you have a m11xR2 with Optimus? In that case I think there is a way to force furmark (or almost any 3d program) to utilize the gt335m but since I don't have one I can't help you out there, sorry.

    Thanks for the quick reply.

Yes I'm using an M11x R2, I should've specified that in my original post.

EDIT: Well I just tried forcing Furmark to use the 335M through the NVidia control panel but no luck, it still only shows the Intel Media Accelerator.

    Which drivers are you running?
Check you pointed it at the correct exe as I think there are two in the folder, so set for both of them.

You can also try right click on the exe and select which GPU to run with also.

Well it will switch to 335M automatically when you start the test......
btw intel gfx getting 6.5k~8k sounds inlogic isn't it?

Not tried it myself but would not expect the Intel one to break 1k

Apparently it was a driver issue. The 257.3 from Dell and the newly posted 259.47 caused my Optimus to screw up, even when I forced it to run with the 335M it would still use the Intel Media Accelerator. Unfortunate for me because I would like to use the newest driver.

I've switched back to 258.96 and now it seems to be working fine (Furmark still shows the Intel GPU but when I start the test it uses the 335M correctly).

    Thanks guys! :)

Side note: Looks like my GPU isn't so great when it comes to OCing, it crashes on anything above 515Mhz. :(

I find it is more sensitive to the memory clock. (I am using MSI Afterburner for GPU OCing)

I'm sorry, but how are you guys getting 8k etc? With the Nvidia GPU on, I'm getting 2k+. Note, I am getting 8.2k on 3DMark2006.

Edit: Hmm, well I was getting 4100 on my desktop with an OC'ed 8800GT so I'm guessing 2.1k is normal for these laptops.

Where are you getting this 2k from? and for what?

    8.2k on 3Dmark06 is great.

Furmark has a benchmark test included (it's basically the stability test run on a fixed number of frames). That's where I'm getting my number from.

That's odd, I'm able to clock my memory to 920Mhz stable. It seems to be more sensitive to the core clock for my GPU (I'm also using MSI Afterburner).

    Every GPU is different.
