Haha I was wondering when they were gonna do this. With the release of MannCo and how well that in-game shop has been doing. It'd be a great way to bring in revenue. If it was more expensive than $20 when I bought it 2 years ago I would be mad. But it was a great buy. :D

    GET IT.

Game is good, but the wacky characters and stupid item system are a big turn off for me. Then again, TFC was one of the first multiplayer games I ever played, so I guess you can't teach an old dog new tricks.

I hear ya. i just ignore most of it. i just pick a class and go for it. still just as much fun as when it came with the orange box IMO.

For a while there i got real turned off to the game when ppl were going for achevment items. but that seems to be over now.

It's pretty simple, Counterstrike (all versions) is lacking in an ingame 'store' that is bankrolling the entire community as Team Fortress 2 has with it's 'mann.co store', the very success of this concept has lead to Team Fortress now being a free to play though it's not without a catch I believe. There are two different account types, free and premium.

No, you don't have to. You can still unlock items the conventional way, (through playing the game as normal) but if you're impatient and flush with cash you can just buy the different items for real money. :p

I personally think it's a bit silly and would always just play the game as it is but Valve have been making a LOT of money from people buying custom gear to kit their avatars out.

If you've never played TF2 before then now is the time, one of the best FPS's on the PC by a country mile... (If not THE best from a multiplayer twitch shooting perspective)

I think people who bought the game for $20 bucks or whatever price should get exclusive never ending features.

For those wondering the differences between Free and Premium accounts the TF site listed the differences in their TF2 FAQ: Team Fortress 2 F.A.Q.

Easily the best online shooter released within the past decade. Plus, it'll run perfectly on any version of the M11x!

Installed this game and I can not get it to work correctly. Add Steam and hl2.exe in whitelist, but the game runs on NVIDIA only if you set it in global settings. I am use latest 275.33 driver. Any1 can help me?
