There's a such button near the top of the forums.
There's a thread on FF14 running on the m11x here.

I never got the chance - but thanks for the link! Nice to see specs drop for a change. I am a western RPG fan and looking forward to ArcaniA and it seems the specs have gone UP with some saying that even a C2D will be inadequate ...

Where did you see that the specs were lowered?

As far as I know, the only difference between alpha and the current beta is that you can lower textures now(didn't add anything for open beta.)

Regardless, the open beta has stopped giving out codes and I unfortunately was too late to get one. Hopefully they open it back up soon, if not then oh well i guess.

Yeah, I hope they give out codes. I've been looking forward to see how well the M11x can run FFXIV.

I grabbed a Key this morning and have been messing with setting now. I'm having a horrible studdering problem but I think that might be because of the server lag. There is also a CPU Priority issue that sets the game to Low. Ill keep you all posted.

Thanks idlehand, that would be perfect! Can you run FRAPS and tell us exactly how many fps you get?

Sorry if this is a bit off topic, but how is the grind on that game? Is it still kill x monsters and find x loots?

Hello people , um first the real question... Would it run @)@ , well I found a chart table of the benchmark results on M11x and they got so fat Core 2 duo and 335M of course umm 4gb of ram a 2152 in low settings. In high settings they got a 908 witch it is a big down to all m11x users.... and now r2 has this problems... omg if I had the chance to get the money back from Dellalienware for this m11x id do it @_@ omg such incopability is so annoying...

Ive played the game for the past 2 nights and without turning down any settings, I am getting about 19 FPS. When I start to disable Draw Distance and Shadows I get a constant 20-30 FPS. Its playable right now. Obviously I would like it to be a little more smooth but that can just be the game itself. Here is a sceenshot to give you a idea.

Its a typical MMO leveling grind. More Solo able than FFXI but not sure im liking the game. Might be the differences from FFXI.

playing in uldah and getting the same/better fps on low settings that I did in the previous beta but a weird stuttering has started happening, even when i'm over 30 fps it's happening. Hopefully that gets fixed soon.

I'm @ 160 on the CPU and GPU is @ 550Mhz Core Clock, 1320 Shader Clock, and 925 Memory Clock.

The game still has issues with crashing due to video issues. It is a beta but I hope they have them ironed out by release.

I think the studdering is actually server lag. I played FFXI for 8 years and this game is done by the same developers. The Send and Receive numbers are the same as in FFXI. My Send is barley 30 and in FFXI when that happened I was lagging to hell or ready to disconnect.

I read a recent interview saying that the Game is already optimized for the CPU and they are still tweaking the GPU side of things. Also they are doing background checks on all processes right now for the beta so those should be gone by final release.

playing it currently my cpu is oc'd to 155, and stock video settings. I get a little loading lag in the city but otherwise it seems quite playable.

I've just gone into the nvidia control pannel and turned everything down to the lowest and will be trying it again. I'll get fps in a few minutes, found a way to show them through rivatuner so I'll be using that.

    edit:

    http://forum.notebookreview.com/not...ps-games-fraps-ati-tray-tools-riva-tuner.html

shows it working, had to add all the .exe's in the beta directory to the server but showing fps now just fine.

Mine freezes as well and won't close if I overclock my gpu at all.

As far as the stuttering, i'm not sure if my send was that low during phase 2 and 3, but the stuttering wasn't an issue in the previous betas. I'm playing on low settings and getting about 20 fps in uldah and anywhere from 22-35 in the beginning of the outside zone. In combat i saw 28-35 from the start in a pretty detailed area.

My game freezes/crashes if I have it overclocked or not. I have been trying some new overclock settings tonight. I have been having lets just say bad luck lol. The game just isnt optimized at all. Just going to have to wait till final release and hope for the best.

The more I screw with it the more I am going to build a gaming PC... Damn you people that are making me switch over from FFXI lol

playing on lowest settings makes it playable, doing some levequests i've had upward of 35 fps during some fights. The stuttering problem is annoying, but that doesn't have anything to do with the m11x imo.

I still wouldnt buy a m11x just to play this game.

Anyone else crashing a lot? If not what drivers are you using? Anyone get it to work with the 258.96 drivers?

I'm using the 259.12 drivers right now, I think i'm going to reinstall the 259 quadro drivers and see if i still crash a lot.

FPS wise it still stutters if i play in lowest at 1366x768 or whatever those numbers are. No gpu overclocked or anything, but the FPS is still pretty decent in those settings, I can see 30 fps sometimes but mostly in the 20s unless im near a quest crystal or in town.

I'm mostly playing full screen in 1280xsomething resolution, I also was playing in windowed in 1024x768 but the screen cuts off in that resolution and it gets annoying. The game runs almost constant 30+ fps on lowest in that res and it still looks pretty decent IMO, nothing mind blowing but still a step up from most MMOs. Is there anyway to fill the whole screen at that resolution?

I've been playing it for 2 days and its very playable in my opinion, pc runs it like a charm but the problem atm is the servers that have a great lag that slows people down even if you have the best pc ever you will slow down but has it gets stable its very clear and playable on the M11xR2.

@All - make sure you try out the network throttling optimization I posted under R1 OPTIMIZATION MUST HAVE. It will help with network traffic. Even on the R2 as well.

    Best Wishes, StevenX

Hey guys, I have the R2 and just updated FFXIV. So after I log into my account and click play, a window pop up saying that FFXIV has stopped working. Initially, I thought maybe the graphics were set too high or whatever so I went into the config and lowered everything, but i'm still encountering the same problem. Any ideas?

Edit: Nevermind, I was too quick with this post. I whitelisted the game and it works now. But... Now I get an error saying that no directx device were found. Any ideas? Lol.
