    Hello,
FFXIV is in beta 3 right now and performance has been a problem on the m11x R2.
I’m only getting an average 15 FPS while grinding, overally low FPS no matter what i'm doing. What’s odd is that I get the identical frame rates no matter what resolution; 1024x768 – 1366x768.

Running 258.94, no AA / AF, no shadows, everything low :( Optimus has ffxivgame.exe and ffxivboot.exe added for the 335M and appears to be functioning; the game wont even start with it disabled.

I should see a significant performance difference when switching from 1024x768 to 1366x768 no?

I know it’s a stretch, but anyone else in the beta have this problem?

    I’m downloading 259.32 from laptopvideo2go now…

beta's this close to release are typically fairly spot on. I can't see them making any big changes when the release date is just over 30 days away. If the minimum specifcations say anything about the game, it's that the M11x is just not powerfull enough in some areas. the 335M has 8 more CUDA cores, but it's just a lot slower clocked than a 9600GT, the 335m has a 200mhz core and 650mhz shader core disadvantage, as well as half the memory bandwidth compared to the minimum requirement for the game. couple that with the fact that the *only* cpu that meets the requirement is the 640, and only when it's overclocked. If the system requirements are to be taken serisouly, then I can't see the M11x being able to play the game smoothly most of the time or unless you're willing to put up with a lot of slow-down.

Its funny, you can change the res to 800x600 and maybee check the turbo boost stuff? I know this defeats the purpose but it is a test no? The first thing to look for when Im geting underpowered systems to work with a software is a starting point. If you cant get a starting point then its truly unplayable and untouchable and unchangeable.

aye, that sounds like a plan. Everything in the M11x is *almost* enough that you should still be managing a little higher than 15fps.
