im in brazil right now.. its really hot.. I'm just here for a visit... I cant tell if my fan is broken or what.. but the fan that is in the corner(that has the lights) it doesn't seem to be running.. But my computer seems to FEEL hotter then usual cause its hot here so i would assume the fan would be on... ive never noticed but is this fan always on or only goes on at a special temperature??

    thanks

Oh nice! you are in brazil. what part are you in? I think the fan is on a special temperature. Another thing that I notice is that it activates depending on what performance you are using it. Maybe im wrong If someone knows more correct me. =)

I wouldn't worry about it. Even if your fan were completely defective, your laptop would shut itself down before it suffered any damage from overheating. If it really worries you, download and run a program like SpeedFan, and check out the CPU temperature that is reported. If it is below 80C, then you are fine.
