I want to get what all M11x owners are getting from the game. For a shocker, the game takes advantage of Alienfx.

Now on to performance. On my R3, I get 60 FPS at a mix of off, low, and reasonable settings. Straight up reasonable settings goes down to 35 fps. Normal settings are 30fps. Very High is between 5-15fps. That is only on the opening room so performance will go down a bit when in bigger more open areas. Not happy with the performance of the game. Game is whitelisted too.

    What are you guys getting?

After doing some testing, I have new reports. If you overclock the 2617m to 103.1BLCK and the Nvidia 540m to 750/1500/1000 I can pull a solid 40-45 fps on normal settings.

What a huge improvement. I'm curious to see the performance on R2, anyone?

Same here, the game is playable at native res and normal settings. However, after 4-5 hours of play, the laptop gets really hot and there is an FPS drop :)

    I'm playing on the R2.

Custom settings but textures and models are set as high as they will go. All affects turned off but low shadows. 30FPS solid. Not really 100% GPU usage though :(

30fps is what the game limits itself to with its vertical sync. Force it on in the nvidia control panel and it will limit it at 60fps if you prefer that.

add fable 3 to your game list in the manage 3d settings in the nvidia control panel. Scroll to the bottom of the box and force on vertical sync.

Guys, what driver are you using? 260.99 - the game does not start. 270.61-275.27 - after 4-5 hours of laptop goes to the BSOD from overheating.

I always keep note of my GPU temp and FPS via EVGA's Precisioin Applicaiton. There is no difference in fan nor temps going from the Most recent approved drivers to the new Beta's. The only thing I have noticed is much better stability.
In Fable 3 my temps are 72C Top's not sure on my CPU, will let you know tonight.

Have a go removing the new ones, and try the old ones and see what happens to your temps.
I'm sure you probably know but uninstall the drivers, boot into safe mode, use driver sweeper, reboot into normal mode then install the old drivers which didn't give you temp problems. Could be coincidence and there is something else up??

My R2 i5 @ 156Mhz ThrottleStop default GPU, everything is on high, except Shadow disable. I got around 30fps outdoor and 45 fps indoor. Cheers

If you lower affects down to medium you'll be able to turn shadows back on.

    Get a laptop cooler.

I just bought one recently, Zalman Notebook Cooler ZM-NC 1000. And it really cools everything down.
