I may find myself with an extra m11xr3 motherboard soon and I was wondering what you can do with it besides sell it? I know you can't build a desktop with it but can you remove the CPU and GPU? I'll sell it if I don't find something to do with it but I would like to do something with it.

Pretty sure they're soldered on so can't be removed. Either some sort of custom build if possible or sell it.

Aye as tomcannon points out the GPU and CPU are soldered directly onto the motherboard.

iirc some guys where looking to put a M11x motherboard into a Nintendo case :D

Keep it as a spare, or E-bay

    Regards.

I vote keep it as a complete PC to use either without a case or an improvised one. Absolutely everything's there, you just need somewhere to mount it and the AC adapter to power it with an external monitor.

Build your one all -in-one :D

Or a Mini-ITX Case or Micro ATX build :) oh oh oh oh even how about a cheeky HTPC Case, to be fair the M11x R3 would probably be a little overkill for a media center :)

Chuck it in a slim enclosure, connect it to TV, connect xbox 360 controllers & you got yourself a media center/gaming console in your lounge room.

Oh ye.......make it, make it, make it :D

If you could incoprotate a full all aluminium case which could cool the CPU and GPU it would be silent :D if a tad warm

    Regards.

Get an old Millennium Falcon toy, gut it, and stick the motherboard in there. Then dremel out some holes for the ports and get some extender cables. But DON'T run through the house with it while saying stuff like "Never tell me the odds!" while it's running.
