Everytime I try to play counter strike/TF2/MW2 on an external monitor it will act like i hit the windows button on the keyboard and exit it and cannot get back in it when i click it on the tab. For some reason the game gets half loaded on the external monitor then crashes and I cannot get it to play on it... I was curious if you have run into the same problem. I have tried setting the resolution to that of what I last played it on my m11x screen and no luck. I even tried running both the laptop monitor and external at the same time for the game but it loads the first few preview screens when u start the game but before the game menu it exits..

I had the same thing happen to me but it randomly went away. I don't know how I fixed it but it might have been something to do with using Windows Key + P to choose the external display only instead of using Fn + F1.

This happens on my desktop, in ANY source-engine game. I have twin HD5870 crossfire for that.
