Here's the deal... I got a scorpio black 750gb and want to replace the stock 320gb hdd. I did the following:
Used acronis true image as i found out it would be my best option to just clone the drives and then swap them. So i did, the clone went well, took almost 2 hours but the computer booted perfectly and all the files and system are working just fine.
Here is the problem..
This m11x has the drive partitioned into 1: OS and 2: Recovery. Acronis True Image divided the hdd like this:
1: Os Partition
2: Recovery partition
3: Unallocated space
(see attachment)
The problem is the OS partition cant extend to the unallocated space unless it is right next to it (from what i read googling the problem).
What are my options here? I really dont want to have another partition... :S
Thanks for taking the time to read this.

The best move here would be to backup the recovery partition, delete the partition, extend C: to the max and then create a new 8-10GB partition to put the Recovery one there. Otherwise you would need to reinstall Windows from scratch.

Thanks for the help!

No problem. I think you can clone it using the same software if I'm not mistaken. Otherwise you can just delete it and create a whole new recovery partition with whatever you have installed right now on your machine (all software will be added to it) by installing the AlienRespawn.

Got it to work!
I ended up using: AOMEI Partition Assistant Home Edition 5.1 which is free. I copied the partition to an external hard drive, extended the hard drive and then created a new partition to copy it back.

Awesome! I'm glad that you got it to work...

Does the AOMEI Partition Assistant work well? I have got a professional edition of it, and afraid to use it, I have some important data on my system drive, and now it is all most running out of space, I want to increase it.

Never had a problem with it but i do recommend backing up your data first.
Extend C drive
