I see that Dell released a firmware update to my 256 SSD. A couple questions:

    1. Who has done the upgrade and were there any problems? Was it worth upgrading?
    2. I have a crap ton of games and applications installed... Should I spend hours again reinstalling everything after the upgrade or can I make a full system backup using Windows 7 backup and do a complete restore after my ssd is updated?
    3. Do system restores ultimately cause problems with the system and would it be better to do a clean install of everything?

    Thanks!!!

I am going to back up the system anyway, but the instructions on Dell's support site states that the firmware will delete all the files.

You should backup your data just in case you lose power or a glitch happens. You could lose all your data that way.

Good thinking! Do you think a restore off the backup using Win 7 would be fine? I always heard clean installs are better than restores.
