    Well this is my 3rd Dell/Alienware computer and I just decided to see if its just my luck or does the EDD always seem to be incorrect. So far I have gotten a Dell Inspiron, M11x R1, and R2 and each time the EDD has been pushed back. My R2 is set to come this friday (the 25th) but still is stuck in production. Looking at past events I'm guessing this one will be delayed 1-2 weeks :(

    Am I just unlucky? Has yours come early? On time? Vote on the poll. :D

    Mine came quite a bit early. Everything about the order was unexpected, but luckily someone was home to sign for the package so there were no issues.

    I was sure to let my AW rep know that they should look into having more accurate information in there to better the customers buying experience.

    I called on Friday to check my order status because it said still in production since day one but they said it was shipped. But I put it as next business day delivery and still don't have my m11x. However the Edd is for tomorow...

    Mine was delayed but the first thing i got came in early (external hard drive)
    and the computer was only a few days late, came in on a tuesday when it was suppose to be the friday before so no big deal, excuse was it was the weekend :D

    Mine came 3 days early. When I check dell's site, the status said it was still in production. They didn't update the status a couple of days after I got it.

    Long time lurker, first time poster. My M11X was delivered three days early. I got the 'shipped' notice when it was out for delivery. Trying to time it right backfired on me. I had it shipped to work knowing I'd be in the office...on the 25th. Showed up today on my day off. I'm sad. But I wasn't desperate enough to actually go into work and pick it up...

    Mine took 15 days since the day I order it from the Dell site, but the estimated date was 10 days after I bought it, so it took 5 days more, I dunno if is because I´m Mexico and the laptop came from USA....

    Well... they delayed my order to 3/4/11 (Order was placed 2/13), which is 9 days from the original EDD. It's not so much the fact that they delayed it, so much as it is the fact that they waited UNTIL the day it was supposed to be delivered. When I contacted them previously they said I should receive the computer on the 23rd, but now after talking to them for over 20 minutes, they say a part has been back-ordered. What I don't understand is why they could not have told me this previously when I called.

    In the end I demanded compensation for the inconvenience, they offered to removed the $69.00 charge they somehow managed to convince me in buying for next day shipping. I accepted graciously and decided to back off out of weariness of talking to customer service any longer. I had already sent a computer with the completely wrong configurations back to them, so at this point I felt I had won something... if not the war, at least the battle.

    Reason why I am posting this is because more than likely for every 10 people that receive their order no problem there are 1 stinker (like me :( ) that has to go through this. It doesn't make the computer any less worth buying though. But just be warned... it can happen, and not to keep your mouth shut.

    Haha im getting anxious. I am constantly checking order status after class. EDD is the 25th but the site still says in production. Based on feedback it seems that it sometimes ships without updating th site. To find the current stage of my m11x would I just call dell/aw customer service? Oris there an aw or dell number for order questions?

    Mine was due to get here today, but will be here tommorow. Delay of one day. I guess its ok since they supposedly put expedited shipping on it and expedited the order for me after they got part of the order wrong...but one day sooner than the original estimated delivery date isnt exactly expediting by any real degree. So long as it gets here tommorow I wont complain too much...

    Mine is due tomorrow, with no signs of it being shipped. A rep 'assured' me that while it has not been shipped, it will be here by the end of the week, but we all know how much a rep's assurance is weighed. I will be traveling next week unexpectedly, and this laptop will be my only laptop (sold my old one last week, not anticipating that I would be needing it), so I will be very upset if it is delayed.

    Im going to give them hell if its delayed. One day is acceptable but when your competing with the likes of apple, hp and lenovo, you better do well.

    Seems right so far. Mine is due in 7 business days and it shipped today, which seems a little early. I'm really hoping it gets here over the weekend but if not next week is no big deal.

    Supposedly Tuesday is when it is scheduled to arrive.

    Yeah they told me the same thing. I can see judging by the difference away, that it will definitely be here tomorrow.

    I'm in CA, though ... I'm from NJ :D I don't suppose you know where Wayne is?

    For the record on the poll I put my order was delayed, but judging by the way Dell handled the order, I am definitely willing to forgive the 1 day delay. I would recommend to anyone going through the same thing or if you ever do, to call Dell ASAP. If you bring it to their attention there should be absolutely no reason why they shouldn't be able to help you out.
