Hey, I'm currently waiting on my newly ordered M11x to arrive when I decided to look into what I need to do to get it started. I was lurking around the forums when I saw many people talking about how the latest drivers can mess things up while 2.xxx.xxx or something drivers improve performance and whatnot. Not understanding this at all, I continued to look around when I saw the same sort of discussion concerning the BIOS as well.

I'm not particularly good with this sort of thing, so I have no clue which BIOS to install, which drivers to install, and whatnot.

    Here are the specs:

    i5 520UM
    8gb RAM
    335M
    320gb HDD
    Windows 7 64

Which drivers should I install and which BIOS should I install? Any and all help as well as advice for a new M11x owner would be greatly appreciated!

I would suggest to just use the laptop as is when you get it. Test out your games and such, make sure everything works. After that point, you can look at updating your Nvidia driver. I am not sure how necessary that would be unless an updated driver really improves performance on a specific game.
